WEB DESIGNER

BC Group is looking for an experienced, talented, and motivated creative person who can design and produce new media, web sites, and collateral marketing materials. Must be fast, organized, detail oriented, and above all, talented! Minimum 3 years experience.

We are seeking an individual who has web experience in the following areas:

• Develops conceptual design and translates ideas into a rich graphical user interface through the use of images, flash and dynamic HTML
• Develops page layout guidelines per web design look and feel market trends
• Establishes and maintains graphical designs, style sheets and color standards
• Participates with teams in creative and technical concept development
• Establishes and produces front-end web design, internet advertising and project development
• Visual design aptitude and experience, including work with illustration, graphics, design grids and typography; knowledge and experience with video and audio a plus
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The successful candidate should be capable of handling multiple projects, and have strong interpersonal skills. This person should have a well-developed design sensibility and an eye for detail, and be skilled at verbal and written communications with the ability to write copy. The web designer must be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside of the box.

The web designer should have extensive knowledge of and experience in typographic, identity, web, information and interactive design. The web designer must have experience with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Quicktime, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash. Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, Javascript, ASP, Macromedia, SQL Server, CGI, Windows NT, and XML development is desirable, but not essential. Applicants should also have extensive experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues. A degree in communications design, graphic design or a related field is desirable.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The account executive is the champion of the brand in the marketplace and in the agency. The account executive will ensure that client needs are being met by providing leadership, professionalism, innovation and initiative to the account and the team. They will provide personal leadership to account(s), monitor and guide account activities, and provide oversight to the flow of client work within the agency while maintaining an effective level of direct contact with client(s). The account executive bears final responsibility for account growth and profitability, and the development of business. Reports directly to the vice president.

This person needs demonstrated superior performance as an experienced account executive in an advertising agency and/or a solid background in mid-level marketing positions. Advanced verbal and written communications skills, analytical thinking, personal organization and interpersonal dynamics are pluses. The account executive must be a capable personnel manager, who works well in a team-based structure. They must possess a clear understanding of today's marketing and advertising business. A keen sense of entrepreneurship is essential. Experience on home building accounts is a distinct plus.

Duties:

• Ensures client relations are positive and stable; and that the president is immediately informed of any potential problems with client/agency relations, budget overruns, etc.
• Provides clients with clear access to senior management.
• Reviews strategies and recommends improvements.
• Reviews campaign conceptual directions to ensure strategic marketing objectives remain in focus.
• Ensures client needs are properly and efficiently staffed.
• Reviews estimates, quotes and unquoted invoices to ensure budget requirements are met and profitability maintained.
• Reviews major media plans, public relations plans, and creative strategies before submission to clients.
• Contacts and forms relationships with senior client personnel.
• Seeks out new business opportunities and plays a leading role in their development.
• Monitors accounts receivable and credit-worthiness of accounts.
• Ensures that financial management of the accounts meets agency standards.
• Assists in agency/client contract negotiations.
• Participates in Agency/Client Performance Plan reviews.
